What the job includes
Insert when the frame is sound. Full-frame when it isn't.
A pocket insert is faster and cheaper when the existing frame, sill, and flashing still have life. Full-frame replacement is the right move when they don't. We won't sell you the more expensive one to hit a ticket. We won't sell you the cheaper one if it leaves rot in the wall.
Doors that close and lock.
Entry doors, patio sliders, and storm doors. We set them plumb, flash the pan, and leave you with a key that turns. Historic openings get measured twice; we'd rather build to the hole than force a slab.
It belongs with the siding.
New windows against tired siding look unfinished. If both are due, we do them on one scaffolding so the trim, the J-channel, and the caulk line are the same generation.
