We run a load calculation from the house that's there — insulation, windows, the attic we've already been in. A heat pump that works in Atlanta is not sized for Trumbull. We'll tell you when a dual-fuel setup is the better winter option.

High-efficiency gas when the house and the fuel make sense. Cold-climate heat pumps when they will actually heat in January. Central air when cooling is the issue and the ductwork can take it. We quote what we'd put on our own house in your weather.

New equipment in a leaky attic is how you buy a bigger unit than you needed. If the roof, insulation, or windows are part of why the house won't hold temperature, we say so — and we can do that work on the same schedule.
